On the morning of October 22 – a beautiful autumn day – we gathered privately with friends and family in the Slit Barn at rare Charitable Research Reserve to celebrate the planting of 50 trees in memory of their loved ones.
During the memorial, we had a grounding ceremony, heard remarks from both organizations’ Executive Directors, and performed a reading of names for all the individuals memorialized thus far in the Forest of Memories.
Another planting and ceremony will take place in the spring of 2023, when a memorial plaque will be installed near the Forest.
