Family Time

A facilitated support group for grieving adult family & friends whose loved one has died (meets the first and third Tuesday of each month).

Coffee Time

A weekly drop-in group offering a space for friendly conversation and connection. Coffee Time meets every Wednesday or Friday at Innisfree House from 10:00-11:00am.

Bereavement Walking Group

A weekly grief support group that walks outdoors in summer and indoors in winter. The Walking Group meets every Thursday at 9:30am.

Music Therapy Bereavement Group

A group that supports grief through music, facilitated by our Music Therapist. No musical experience needed – an enjoyment of music is all that’s required (two eight-week sessions annually, spring and fall).

Hearts in Harmony Choir

Create new connections and find support for your grief through music. No experience is required. As long as you enjoy music and singing, you’re welcome to participate alongside others sharing loss, in a welcoming choir where every voice belongs. The group meets at Innisfree House every Wednesday, alternating between afternoons (1:00-2:30pm) and evenings (6:00-7:30pm).

Tuning in Bereavement

Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to talk about our grief. Come explore ways to use music as a tool for healing and self-expression in a therapeutic group setting. Guided by our Music Therapist, participants will explore grief, develop coping skills, and re-connect with who they are now. No musical experience required, just a willingness to share in a supportive community. The group will run on Thursdays from Oct 15 – Nov 26, 2026, time to be determined by the registered participants.

Cooking After Loss - Nourishing Our Way Through Grief

Preparing meals after a loss can be especially difficult. Our Cooking for One four-week series takes place at Langs in Cambridge, providing hands-on support to guide participants through the practical and emotional aspects of cooking solo. We learn simple, nourishing recipes, and enjoy the meals together while sharing stories and support around the table.

Fall 2026 Session: Friday from 12:00-2:00pm, Oct 9-30, 2026

Bereavement Peer Support

One on one grief support over the phone with one of our specially trained volunteers (times and dates will vary depending on individual schedules).

Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice provides exceptional compassionate end-of-life care and supports in the Region of Waterloo for individuals living with a terminal illness.
