Families find value in participating in projects with residents, sharing and reminiscing about their lives, and having a special memento after their loved one's death.
Residents have found meaning in being able to celebrate their life, acknowledge their dying, and connect with loved ones at the end of their life through these art and music projects.

Staff will photograph the resident holding hands with their loved ones (that includes paws). The photograph is then printed on photo paper in black and white, and framed.
Residents and families can create a special family tree made up of each member's fingerprints. When complete, the final print is framed for the family to take home.
A resident’s heartbeat is recorded with a special stethoscope, and our Music Therapist creates a song using the recording as the drumbeat - listen to a sample here.
This is a beautifully sculptured plaster replica of a resident’s hands, either on their own, or holding the hand of a loved one.
Residents can record a message or their heartbeat for their loved one on a device that is stitched into a huggable stuffed animal. There are backpacks and crocheted bags for mementos which can also be attached to the stuffie.
We trace the hands and arms of a resident on soft fleece, which can then be decorated. When completed, it will wrap cozily around the person for whom it's made.
