Kitchen & Family Counter

As per regulations of the Region of Waterloo Public Health Department, visitors are not permitted in the food preparation area.
There is a family counter available to visitors which you are welcome to use for your refreshment needs. Items such as a microwave, toaster, kettle and Keurig machine are available for your use. Feel free to help yourself to any beverages and food that are on this counter.
If you need anything from the kitchen that is not available on the family counter please ask a kitchen volunteer or staff member for assistance.
We greatly appreciate your wish to share meals and treats with other residents and families however all food served in the hospice must either be prepared in our kitchen or store-bought and in original packaging
Our staff prepare all meals for our residents however we are not able to accommodate meals for visitors. We encourage you to bring in items for yourself and store them in the resident’s fridge to minimize the expense of purchasing meals.
You are welcome to bring food for a resident and their visitors to share, however this cannot be shared with other residents or families.
If the resident has particular tastes or cultural needs you can provide these items to staff who can prepare (heat/serve) for the resident.
